ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, DIRECTOR | Drug Development and Nanomedicine Core
Dr. Satish Rojekar is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Drug Development and Nanomedicine Core at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. With a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, his research focuses on biotherapeutics, nanomedicine, microneedle drug delivery, and pharmaceutical technology, aiming to improve treatments for chronic disorders like obesity, osteoporosis, Alzheimer's, and HIV.
He has expertise in formulation development, CMC, preclinical development, IND-enabling research, and biophysical characterization. Dr. Rojekar has advanced drug delivery systems such as monoclonal antibody formulations and lipid nanoparticles for gene delivery. He is also a scientific leader, mentor, and editor for international journals and holds GLP and GCP certifications. His work has resulted in patents, publications, and collaborations to revolutionize drug delivery technologies.
