Research interests
Dr. Moldavski earned a PhD in cell biology at the Weizmann Institute for Science under the mentorship of Maya Schuldiner, PhD, researching how cells can clear neurodegenerative protein aggregates using lipids. He completed a joint postdoctoral fellowship at University of California, Berkeley, and University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), focusing on lipid-induced cell signaling, under the mentorship of Roberto Zoncu, PhD, (Berkeley). He concurrently studied the hormonal regulation of lipid metabolism under the mentorship of Ethan Weiss, MD, (UCSF). After completing his training, Dr. Moldavski joined Mount Sinai to study metabolic diseases, such as obesity, and develop new therapeutics.
