Abstract
After analyzing some of the problems in studying environmental diseases, the author makes several pertinent recommendations for involvement by pathologists in this area. This article is based on a CAP seminar, held during the 1983 CAP/ASCP Spring Meeting, which was developed by the CAP Committee on Environmental and Iatrogenic Pathology. Dr Alpert, a member of the committee, was director of the seminar. Other members of the committee are: Jerome I. Kleinerman, MD, chairman; Melvin Greenblatt, MD; Jerrold L. Abraham, MD; Ralph R.
