What is what: Important definitions in chronic total occlusion percutaneous coronary intervention

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterpeer-review

Abstract

In contrast to nonocclusive coronary lesions, chronic total occlusions (CTO) represent the most challenging lesion subset for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Understanding the numerous anatomical features, techniques, equipment, and endpoints unique to the CTO field is of paramount importance for every CTO PCI operator. In this chapter, we describe the most relevant definitions in CTO PCI based on the Chronic Total Occlusion-Academic Research Consortium document.
