Abstract

The vascular anatomy of the vertebral column and spinal cord is described in addition to current indications and Specific technical features of spinal angiography. Also included are discussions of disease states in which spinal angiography contributes to the diagnosis and development of a therapeutic plan: most importantly, vascular malformations of the spinal cord (pial fistulas and arteriovenous malformations), spinal dural arteriovenous malformations, and various neoplastic diseases.
