Abstract
Several simple methods of neuroophthalmologic examination which are helpful in the diagnosis of disease of the anterior optic pathway are presented. The application of two of these methods in two cases of sellar tumor with 'nonclassic' symptoms is discussed. Patients presenting with subjective visual complaints can be screened rapidly for optic nerve disease with these methods. Those patients with objective optic nerve findings need further evaluation to determine the etiology of their disease.
