Abstract
Urinary tract reconstruction and continent urinary diversion in children are significant technical challenges. The authors believe that although the principles and objectives of total bladder replacement derive from basic surgical and physiologic tenets, the attainment of a successful outcome also requires patient involvement and cooperation.
