Abstract
A procedure is introduced for the segmentation of textured cytologic cell images. The cell region is determined by a set of coefficients that are gradually adjusted while minimizing the defined cost function. Experiments have demonstrated the promising segmentation performance of the procedure for textured cytologic cell images.
