Abstract
Neurology is frequently dismissed as a discipline dealing with hopeless diseases because of a perceived lack of therapies for patients with neurologic disorders. This perception is unfortunate because treatment approaches for a host of neurologic disorders (stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders) are currently evolving in an aggressive manner with remarkable outcomes for many patients. This article reviews the therapeutic strategies for two important peripheral nerve disorders: Gullian-Barré Syndrome and Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculoneuropathy. The emphasis of this article is on treatment of these conditions.
