Abstract

The repair of a carotid cavernous fistula via the jugular-inferior petrosal cavernous sinus route is reported. The safeness and effectiveness of this approach makes this technique the treatment of choice when the fistula drains to the posterior-superior compartment of the cavernous sinus and into the internal jugular vein.
