Abstract

Transgender men and women are at an increased risk of hormone-dependent cancers. There is very limited knowledge as to the current clinical practices to effectively diagnose, treat and manage these transgender patients. This chapter focuses on the risk of prostate cancer development in transgender women and the current understanding of the screening and treatment options, and clinical outcomes in these patients.
