Therapeutic Alternatives in Primary Aortic Salmonellosis—A Case Report

Abstract

Salmonella infection of the abdominal aorta has been associated with a high morbidity and mortality rate. Two cases of primary aortic Salmonellosis are reported, illustrating alternative approaches to surgical therapy. Improved di agnostic techniques, changing surgical options, and newer antibiotics have led to increased survival.
