Theoretical Analysis and Experimental Study of Explosively Formed Projectile

Abstract

In this paper, bigger crater and deeper deepness are made by optimally designed EFP. According to theoretical analysis and experimental study, the semi-experiential formula about the diameter of EFP, the semi-experiential formula about the velocity of EFP and the experiential formula about the depth of penetration of EFP are found. And the quotient of the formula about the length of EFP is amended. The results computed by the formulas agree with the results from numerical simulations and experiments.
