N2 - Indocyanine green (ICG) angiography is recognized as the technique of choice for examination of choroidal vasculature, but until now the technique has produced only subjective data. Other angiographic methods, such as ophthalmic fluorescein angiography, have been analyzed by dye dilution techniques when individual vessels could be isolated and examined. This article reports on a new marriage of ICG angiography and dye dilution analysis, called area dilution analysis (ADA), developed at the Glaucoma Research and Diagnostic Center at Indiana University. Using ADA, choroidal hemodynamic parameters may, for the first time, be quantified.
