Abstract

The roentgenographic features of ureteral obstruction secondary to granulomatous (Crohn's) disease of the bowel has been described. The obstruction is caused by periureteral disease related basically to extension of the granulomatous process into the retroperitoneum or to a secondary inflammatory oedema adjacent to intra-abdominal disease. This association occurs more often than previously believed. More frequent intravenous pyelography in patients with regional enteritis will confirm its true frequency.
