Abstract

Recent studies have showed that RNAs regulate each other with microRNA (miRNA) response elements ( MRKs), and this mechanism is known as "competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA ) " hypothesis. hmg noncoding RNAs(IncRNAs) are non-protein coding transcripts longer than 200 nucleotides. Aberrant expression of IncRNAs has lwen found associated with gastric cancer, one of the most malignant tumors. Compelling evidence suggests that IncRNAs can interact with miRNAs and regulate the expression of miRNAs as ceRNAs. Several IncRNAs such as GAP1JNC, BC032469, H19, HOTAIR, FER1L4 and MKG3 have heen found to associated with miHNAs in gastric caneer(GC). It is tempting to speculate that a multitude of In-cRNAs may interrupt definitive steps in GC suppressive and oncogenic pathways. The uncovering of the underlying mechanisms of IncKNAs may l>enefil our understanding of gastric cancer's {Mithogenesis.
