Abstract

A discussion of the morphologic expressions of the relation of hepatitis B (HB) to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) should include the available evidence for this relation, and the mechanism for carcinogenesis, based partly on the histologic findings in the various stages of HB viral (HBV) infection in both man and animals.
