Abstract
Hypersensitivity reactions to rubber products are being reported with increasing frequency. This article provides a chronological review of cases appearing in the literature involving hypersensitivity reactions to latex, including contact dermatitis, urticaria, and anaphylaxis. In addition, the authors describe methods currently in use for the diagnosis of latex allergy.
