Abstract

Wistar rats were given sodium molybdate in doses 250, 500, 750 mg/kg for 21 days and 1000, 1500 mg/kg for 9 days. With the highest doses there were single deaths of the animals; in most of them diarrhoea occurred. In spite of great intensification of diarrhoea in some rats, the changes in the alimentary tract were insignificant, but the fatty degeneration of the liver and parenchymatous degeneration of the kidneys were observed.
