Abstract

Ganglion cells receive input from the retina, and responses are recorded from the optic nerve or tract. However, retinal interneurons are not easily recorded. This chapter looks into the results of experimental dopaminergic manipulations of the preganglionic retina. A model that shows dopamine's push-pull action is also proposed.
