Abstract
The purpose of this article is to present a classification of the dysplastic nevus based on its variable clinical presentations. In this way, the physician will be able to recognize many of the clinical variants of this unusual melanocytic nevus and, thus, identify patients at greater risk for the development of malignant melanoma.
