Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the utilization of C-arm CT in performing interventional management for acute ischemic cerebrovascular diseases. Methods: C-arm CT imaging technique was used in interventional treatment for 152 patients with acute ischemic cerebrovascular disease. The image acquisition and processing were conducted before and after treatment. By intravenous injection of contrast agent and with the help of VasoCT reconstruction images, the cerebral vascular images similar to CTA were obtained. The risk of cerebral hemorrhage and cerebral infarction after cerebral revascularization was assessed. Results: C-arm CT could rapidly make diagnosis of vascular ischemic lesions in a short time. After endovascular thrombolytic therapy, cerebral hemorrhage caused by cerebral vascular hyper-perfusion following cerebral revascularization occurred in 17 patients, including hemorrhage of anterior circulation (n=11) and hemorrhage of posterior circulation (n = 6). Twelve patients were cured by active treatment, and the implanted stents in the intracranial vessels were clearly displayed. Conclusion: The use of C - arm CT in performing interventional management for acute ischemic cerebrovascular diseases is conducive to the rapid diagnosis of cerebral ischemia lesions and to the rapid detection of cerebral hemorrhage as well as other serious complications, thus the patients can be timely and effectively treated.
