Abstract

A quasi-phase matched (QPM) optical parametric oscillator (OPO) pumped by O-switched Nd:YVO4 laser was presented. Using a single period (29 μm) periodically poled LiNbO3 (PPLN), the high output power>100 mW (at 1500 nm) was obtained. Furthermore a tunable infrared (IR) output from 1.48-1.54 μm was obtained by tuning the temperature of PPLN (80-250°C).
