Abstract

A 49-year-old member of an outlaw motorcycle club was found lying beneath his motorcycle with a perforating gunshot wound to the thorax. The direction of the bullet path from back to front initially indicated a homicide between rivaling outlaw motorcycle gangs. However, extensive interdisciplinary investigations now strongly suggest suicide, thus proving that in critical cases only a close cooperation between all investigating branches enables a reconstruction of events.
