Abstract

The monodispersed PSMMA@ ZrO2 core-shell particles were prepared in mixed solvents. The influence of the catalyst and the volume fraction of acetonitrile in the mixture were investigated. TEM and SEM images showed that monodispersed core-shell particles could be obtained with water as catalyst when the volume ratio of ethanol to acetonitrile was 4:1. Corresponding ZrO2 hollow particles were prepared through calcination. The UV/vis/NIR reflectance spectrum of the core-shell particles and hollow particles in powder condition were also given.
