Syndromes that mimic vasculitis

Because vasculitis often presents as a multisystem illness, there are many other disease entities that may mimic necrotizing vasculitis. The most common of these include infective endocarditis and atrial myxoma. However, there are a host of other disease entities that may present to the cardiologist or vascular internist that are considered in detail in this review.
