Study on acoustic characteristic of double layer micro-perforated panel absorber at high temperature

Abstract

In order to obtain better acoustic restraining effect when the space and the weight was limited in firebox, the paper brought forward double layer micro-perforated panel absorber's instead of single micro-perforated absorber's, but the double one and the single one have the same perforated percentage, the same perforation radius, the same weight and the same space. Formulation of sound absorption coefficient of double layer micro-perforated panel absorber's was deducted with electro-acoustic analogy approach. The numerical simulation and contrast analysis of sound absorption characteristic of single micro-perforated panel absorber's was done. Finally, the paper brought forward double layer micro-perforated panel absorber's has wider sound absorption band and better sound absorption effect than single one, especially in high temperature, the double one could reduce noise in wide-band range.
