Abstract

This review deals with recent developments of the ESR studies of alkane radical cations generated by ionizing radiation and stabilized in halocarbon matrices at low temperatures. The focus is put on static and dynamic structural distortions of cyclohexane radical cations in which silicon, deuterium and alkyl-groups were selectively introduced.
