Abstract
Background: KCNJ10 is a key component of the basolateral K channels in DCT. Results: SFK phosphorylates KCNJ10 at Tyr9, and inhibition of SFK decreases basolateral K channel activity in DCT. Conclusion: SFK stimulates the basolateral K channels in DCT by phosphorylating KCNJ10. Significance: Tyrosine phosphorylation of KCNJ10 plays a role in regulating membrane transport in DCT.
