Abstract

The first case report of bilateral, spontaneously occurring filtering blebs in a middle-aged woman is described. Hypotony and clefts in the trabecular meshwork were observed and were associated with marginal thinning of the cornea and bilateral retinal pigment epithelial detachments. Possible local and systemic causes of this condition are reviewed.
