Abstract
Renal biopsies from 52 patients with various glomerulonephropathies were studied for glomerular deposition of IgA. Glomerular deposits of IgA were observed in 9 patients, IgA deposition was along glomerular capillary loops in 2 cases: in 7 cases it was mesangial. 4 patients had proteinuria, persistent microhematuria and recurrent macroscopic hematuria. The pathogenesis is discussed.
