Abstract

The system architecture and technology architecture of Collaborative Modeling and Simulation Platform (Cosim-Platform) were established focusing on development of Multi-Disciplinary Virtual Prototype. To solve the problem of collaborative modeling and simulation, four key technologies were put forward: model-oriented multi-domain collaborative simulation technology, modeling technology based on System Engineering Theory and component technology, grid technology and Microsoft automation technology, Cosim-Platform's internal and external integration technology, which was based on extensible Markup Language (XML) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). A virtual prototype development process model was provided in accordance with the principle of Concurrent Engineering. At last, an application example in Ship was briefly introduced. The primary practices in the fields of Astronautics, Ship and Satellite indicated that Cosim-Platform could effectively support development of virtual prototype.
