Abstract

We present a technique for reorienting improperly frozen muscle biopsy specimens for histochemical studies. Manipulation of the tissue is done within the cryostat chamber while the block is still frozen, decreasing the chance of ice artifact. With this method, we can rotate and reembed the biopsy specimen as many times as needed until we achieve proper orientation.
