Abstract
This article gives a review of renal transplantation in children. It discusses the etiology of chronic renal failure, criteria for acceptability of patients for kidney transplantation, and factors that influence the allograft outcome. A survey is given on immunosuppressive therapy and on the complications in the postoperative period.
