Renal artery injury following blunt abdominal trauma

Abstract

This is a case report of intimal tear of the left renal artery caused by a fall. Contrary to the majority of cases of this type reported, this patient did not develop renal artery thrombosis. Renal function was restored by resection of the damaged segment and anastomosis.
