Abstract

A 91-year-old woman presented with a 1.0 × 0.8-cm basal cell carcinoma of the nasal tip and dorsum. The tumor was cleared after 5 stages of Mohs micrographic surgery (MMS), resulting in a 3.5 × 2.5-cm defect of the nasal tip, dorsum, and sidewall that extended to the level of the cartilage (Figure 1). Given the patient's low-set hairline, there was insufficient nonhair-bearing skin on the upper forehead to cover the defect using a paramedian forehead flap (PMFF).
