Abstract
This paper is an introduction for a series of reviews on new progress in alkylation of isoparaffins with olefins, including recent advances of the project, mechanism of the alkylation, requirements of alkylation catalyst, ideas of designed new alkylation catalysts, and results of obtained expectantly in future, etc.
