Abstract
The fasting blood glucose levels in 94 patients hospitalized for psoriasis were found to be similar to those in a matched group of controls without psoriasis. The incidence of fasting blood glucose levels above 110 mg/100 ml was 19% among the patients with psoriasis and 20% in the control group. The results presented indicate that there is no more than a chance relationship between psoriasis and diabetes mellitus.
