Primary retroperitoneal embryonal carcinoma in a 67-year-old woman

Abstract

A primary retroperitoneal embryonal carcinoma arising in a 67-year-old woman is described. The clinical importance of distinguishing this lesion from metastatic adenocarcinoma is stressed. The diagnostic and prognostic use of serological tests in this entity is discussed.
