title = "PREDICTING LENGTH OF STAY WITH DIAGNOSIS RELATED GROUPS IN A COMPREHENSIVE PSYCHIATRIC FACILITY.",
abstract = "An empirical assessment of the ability of the mental disorder Diagnosis Related Groups (DRGs) to predict length of stay in a comprehensive psychiatric facility is provided. The analytic method was a one-way ANOVA. The percentage of variance explained by the DRGs was 9\%. It is concluded that the DRGs seem to be much less accurate for predicting length of hospital stay for a psychiatric patient population than for patients in general medical hospitals. A limitation of the present study is its uniqueness.",
