Abstract

The supply power is a key issue in distributed fully-digital seismic exploration instruments which are indispensable for oil and gas exploration. A storage battery power supply system was developed that greatly extends practical applications for such instruments. The power supply was evaluated using a numerical model and experimental tests. The results show that the power supply can supply 56 or 40 geophones when the distance between two geophones is 55 or 80 meters. In practice, this is enough to meet the demands of distributed fully-digital seismic exploration instruments.
