Abstract

Penile prostheses represent the most often used approach to the surgical management of impotence. These devices can be classified into semirigid and inflatable types. The advantages and disadvantages of each type as well as a description of their construction are provided here. Appropriate images are provided to illustrate the components of the various devices available.
