Abstract

Calyceal diverticula are a unique urologic pathology that occasionally cause bothersome symptoms for patients. Diagnosis is challenging and is accomplished only with appropriate imaging and experienced clinicians. A variety of treatment options exist for calyceal diverticula. Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) is a valuable treatment for calyceal diverticula as it can be used in majority of patients and has excellent success rates. This chapter will review the topic of calyceal diverticula and provide an in depth discussion of the role of PCNL in their treatment.
