Abstract

Over the past century, the advent of technology and multimedia has transformed online medical education. The increasing availability of various online platforms, ranging from online curricula, toolkits, webinars, and social media, has changed the educational landscape for medical learners. With the perennial shortage of skilled geriatrics educators and the increasing relevance of geriatric principles and concepts in clinical medicine, educators should consider the use of online resources to teach geriatrics, which can be more time-efficient and less resource-intensive than traditional teaching methods. This chapter reviews online tools and resources for clinician educators involved in teaching geriatrics to several levels of learners in a variety of settings.
