Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: The two primary objectives of this review are to: determine the effectiveness of increasing omega 6 (LA, GLA, DGLA, AA, or any combination) intake in place of saturated or monounsaturated fats or carbohydrates for the primary prevention of CVD; determine the effectiveness of decreasing omega 6 (LA, GLA, DGLA, AA, or any combination) intake in place of carbohydrates or protein (or both) for the primary prevention of CVD.
