Abstract
Occupational lung diseases can be conveniently classified into disorders of the airways, the alveoli, and the lung interstitium. Diseases of each category have a distinct clinical and pathological presentation despite diverse causes. This classification is outlined. Occupationally related neoplasms of the respiratory system include bronchogenic carcinoma and malignant pleural mesothelioma.
