Nutritional support for hospitalized children

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Malnutrition has been identified as a prominent component of illness even in 'healthy' children - one that can seriously compromise recovery and even survival. A key aspect of successful nutritional intervention is the realization that prevention or correction of malnutrition is as important as any other lifesaving therapy. Clinical approaches to management are discussed.
