Abstract
The field of developmental neuropsychology includes academicians, researchers, and clinicians concerned with understanding brain-behavior relationships across the lifespan. Numerous scientific advances have emerged from studies conducted across allied neuroscience and psychological disciplines, and increasingly sophisticated diagnostic procedures have enhanced the ability to apply clinical neuropsychological methods that lead to efficacious treatment implementation. This article considers key concepts in developmental neuropsychology that pertain to both experimental studies and applications in the clinical setting that together have been the basis for a range of treatment and intervention strategies. Future directions are also noted.
