note = "Funding Information: NASA originally conceived the Neurolab flight in 1993 in support of The Decade of the Brain. A number of other US Governmental agencies also supported the mission, including the National Institutes of Health (NHLBI, NICHD, NIDCD, NINDS, NIA) as well as the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Office of Naval Research (ONR). International partners were the European (ESA), Japanese (NASDA), French (CNES), Canadian and German (DARA) Space Agencies. Over 500 proposals were submitted, from which about 35 were selected, and 26 were finally included in the flight.",
