Abstract
Using a case-based approach, neuroendocrine carcinomas of the lung are discussed with emphasis on cytologic diagnosis and clinical context. The appearance of carcinoid tumor, small cell carcinoma, and large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma is discussed along with differential diagnoses and useful ancillary studies.
